Secure Printing
How to perform secure printing to a specific printer
ESPM is a cloud-based solution that enables users to send print jobs to the cloud and retrieve them from any ESPM-enabled MFD where access has been granted. This article guides administrators on how to configure ESPM to allow users to print directly to a specific printer instead of the cloud.
Prerequisite understanding: The administrator should be familiar with Toshiba TopAccess and the ESPM administrator’s portal.
The following provides an abbreviated step-by-step guide on how to proceed:
Context: Configuring secure pull-print enables administrators to ensure that users authenticate properly before retrieving documents from a designated MFD.
Step 1: Launch Toshiba TopAccess via your web browser
Step 2: Log in as the administrator
Step 3: Navigate to Administration > Setup > General
Step 4: Scroll to the “Confidentiality Settings” section
Step 5: Locate the “Target of Restriction” dropdown and select “Job Status & Log”
(Note: By default, all settings are typically disabled.)
Step 6: Locate the “Document Name” and “Username” dropdowns, and ensure their status is set to “Disable” (if not already disabled)
Step 7: Launch the ESPM Administrator’s Portal
Step 8: Navigate to the “Printer List” sub-menu under the “Printer Network” menu
Step 9: Select the device(s) you want to configure for secure printing by checking the box next to the associated printer
Step 10: Click the “Apply a Config” icon
Step 11: From the dropdown, choose “R1: Enable secure PIN release for Toshiba (general)” and click “Apply Config”
Step 12: Confirm by clicking the “Edit” button from the “Printer List“, then select “Advanced Config” and verify that “Secure Print Release” has been added
Done!
