Google Workspace Setup
How to get started with Google Workspace
The ESPM integration with Google Workspace® streamlines directory services by leveraging cloud-based tools to efficiently manage users, groups, and devices. This integration eliminates the need for on-premise Active Directory, offers seamless synchronization with cloud-based directory services, and enhances security through features like single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication.
Prerequisite understanding: The organization must already have an active Google Workspace® account and possess administrative familiarity with the Google Workspace® admin portal.
The following provides an abbreviated step-by-step guide on how to proceed:
Context: The ESPM with Google Workspace® integration allows administrators to sustain their existing directory management system through synchronization with ESPM. This article will assist the ESPM with the initial Google synchronization.
Step 1: Navigate to the “Printer Allocation” section of the admin portal
Step 2: Click the “Google Workspace” menu
Step 3: Select the “Google Sync Status & Setup” sub-menu
Step 4: Click the green “Authorize” button
Step 5: Enter or select the Google SuperAdmin account to authorize Google Workspace® integration
Step 6: Click “Allow” to grant ESPM access to your Google Workspace® account
The importing process will begin, and an on-screen notification will appear stating “Google Workspace – Refresh import status”
(Note: The synchronization process may take 30-60 minutes to complete, depending on Google’s sync time.)
Done!
