Toshiba Wins Gold Stevie for LEAD 2016 Conference

Annual End User Event Earns Stevie Award for Fifth Consecutive Year

IRVINE, Calif. (April 18, 2017) Toshiba America Business Solutions today announced it has won the Gold Stevie® Award for 'Best Sales Meeting of the Year' in recognition of its 2016 LEAD (Learn Engage Act Deliver) conference held last May in Las Vegas.

The conference set an attendance record for a Toshiba LEAD event with nearly 1,700 attendees. Toshiba's unprecedented launch of 23 newly engineered and redesigned e-STUDIO multifunction printers highlighted the conference. LEAD 2016 energized the crowd from the very start with a conference agenda designed for sharing knowledge and insights on wide-ranging topics and facilitating valuable business relationships.

“Toshiba demonstrated its strength by showcasing the breadth and depth of its technology and market coverage,” said Robert Palmer, Research Director for IDC. “With horizontal and vertical solutions focused on document capture and workflow, MPS, mobility, security, and digital signage, Toshiba is laying a solid foundation for the future.”

Entertainment at the conference was also well received as internationally recognized graffiti artist and best-selling author, Erik Wahl, fascinated attendees with his motivational message and speed painting. James Carville and Mary Matalin captivated conference goers with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Washington and expert analysis on the 2016 presidential race. The B-52s performance at Toshiba Plaza, the two-acre public square outside T-Mobile Arena, capped the unforgettable experience for LEAD 2016 attendees.

"LEAD 2016 was a definitive success from every perspective and surpassed expectations," said Bill Melo, Toshiba America Business Solutions chief marketing executive. "Our new products were met with enthusiasm from every segment of our diverse audience and are generating new business for our resellers, business partners and Toshiba."
