When using a driver downloaded from the Internet After downloading the driver from the Internet, extract the file(s) to a folder of your choice. From the [Start] menu, point to [Settings], then click [Printers]. In the Printer folder double click [Add Printer],and click "Next >".

Follow the Wizard guidance and select a printer connection method (Local or Network), then click "Next >" to continue.

The following explanation applies when the user has selected a [Local] connection method. To install the downloaded driver, click [Have Disk] then [Browse] to locate the folder where you had extracted the downloaded driver, from this folder select Disk 1, then click "OK". If virtual memory on a Windows operating system is set lower than usual , insufficient memory errors will occur and drawing operations in applications or printer drivers will not perform properly. Documents may not print correctly or the following problems may occur: - Application errors. - Printing discontinues without warning. - "86 parameter" appears on the display panel of the printer and printing discontinues. Increase the memory setting for virtual memory, and then start printng. If this is not helpful, add additional memory on the computer. |

Depending on amount of the memory installed on your computer, printing may take longer from an application. Also, an operating system running on insufficient memory may cause an application to discontinue printing. |

To solve this problem, please select 2-byte system font for Watermark when printing 2-byte code character. |

For papers such as envelopes or prepunched paper, they must be set in a unique direction (opposite direction than usual) in the tray as the printing result will rotate 180 degrees.
