SEARCHING A STORED FILE
Overview
If many files are stored, you may take some time to locate a file. Use the search function to find a file quickly.
You can search a file using part of a file name or folder name. Also, you can specify a folder as the scope of search.

When you search files in a specific folder, tap the folder key
If the password input screen appears, enter the password (5 to 8 digits) from the numeric keys. -

Set the search conditions
Tap the text box and set the search conditions.
When you search files within the current folder, check the [Search Just Within the Folder] box to display the .
[User Name]
Search using the user name.
Select the user from the User Selection screen, and tap the .
[Login Name]
Search using the login name.
Enter the file name or folder name, and tap the [OK] key.
[File or Folder Name]
Search using the file name or folder name.
Enter the login name and tap the [OK] key.
[Date]
Search using the date when the file was created.
When you select the [Today] or [Date Set], set the date and time. -
Tap the [Start Search] key
The files or folders that match your search conditions will be listed. When you select the desired file from the list, the job settings screen appears.
Tap the [CA] key to return to the initial document filing screen.
Tap the [Search Again] key to search a file again in different conditions.
- If you search a file using the [File or Folder Name] option, the matching user folders are also listed. When you tap a folder key, the files of this folder are listed. Tap the desired file in the list.
- You can search files in setting mode (Web version) as well. From the setting mode (Web version) menu, click [Document Operations] → [Document Filing] → [Search].
