ECO FUNCTION

Overview

The Eco functions are installed on the machine to reduce power consumption. You can use a variety of Eco functions to suit the aims and needs of your application.

Types of Eco functions

Eco function Description
Eco Scan Non-printing functions can be operated while the fusing unit is kept Off.
PREHEAT MODE This mode lowers the temperature of the fusing unit and makes the machine wait in low power consumption state.
AUTO POWER SHUT-OFF TIMER When the machine is not operated, this mode turns off the power to the operation panel and the fusing unit, and makes the machine wait in a low power consumption state.
AS SOON AS THE REMOTE JOB IS FINISHED, ENTER AUTO POWER SHUT OFF MODE The machine returns from Auto Power Shut-Off when it performs a printing job. The machine returns to Auto Power Shut-Off after completing the print job.
  • The Eco function must be configured from "Energy Save" in "Setting mode (administrator)".
  • This function can also be used to set the times for turning the power on and off to reduce power consumption. For more information, see "POWER ON/OFF SCHEDULE SETTING".
  • It can control transition to Auto Power Shut-Off by creating a pattern list based on the analysis of usage of the machine. For more information, see "ENERGY SAVING PATTERN LIST".

Eco Setting

There are three modes of "Eco Setting"; "Normal Mode", "Eco Mode", and "Following the Power Management".
For the Eco function, it is convenient to use "Normal Mode" or "Eco Mode" to allow simultaneous changing of settings. If you wish to manually configure the Eco function, select "Following the Power Management".
The following shows the "Normal Mode" and "Eco Mode" settings.

To change the Eco setting:
In "Setting mode (administrator)", select [Energy Save][Eco Setting].
