Toshiba Wins 2018 Orange County Register Top Workplaces Award

Longtime Orange County Tech Company Receives Top Marks from Employees to Earn Orange County Register's Prestigious Honor for Best Workplaces
December 10, 2018

Toshiba America Business Solutions today announces it is a recipient of the 2018 Top Workplaces Award by The Orange County Register.

The Orange County technology innovator earned the honor based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner, Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Energage Chief Executive Officer Doug Claffey. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

“The business community in Orange County offers a shining example of what successful workplaces look like,” said Samantha Gowen, business editor The Orange County Register & Southern California News Group. “Over the course of 11 Top Workplaces programs, The Register has shared with our readers how these employers elevate their associates and ultimately their product. Key among those responsibilities is acknowledging the power of the team. An inclusive culture remains one of the best workplace standards for employers, and we see that in our honorees each year. Congratulations to each company and organization for exemplifying ideals.”

“The entire Toshiba team is truly honored to win the 2018 Orange County Register Top Workplaces Award,” stated Toshiba America Business Solutions Vice President of Human Resources Joan Maesky. “Toshiba’s core values are designed to establish a positive, engaging and stimulating workplace where people want to work and every employee’s thoughts and opinions matter. We value this Award tremendously because it comes from our greatest asset, our people.”

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey added. “It’s an achievement that organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
